Occupation: He owns a small kite sale and repair shop near the beach, and also gives kite flying lessons.

Personality: 
Field is a little uncomfortable in his own skin. Still very young, he doesn't quite feel like he knows who he is or know how to be confident and happy with himself. Although generally he is content and doesn't have a lot to complain about, he often feels like he doesn't get what life's about and doesn't see what his future might hold for him. He is easily embarrassed and doesn't like to try new things. He would rather stick to what he knows, and that's kites. When he gets embarrassed he can be a sore sport and have a really bad attitude, and might lash out at those he perceives as making fun of him (even if they aren't). 

When he meets new ponies he can be really awkward and accidentally one-ups their conversations, or he might act like a bit of a jerk at first by trying to do what he thinks is cool or how he thinks a cool pony acts. Usually it takes him a little while to feel comfortable with new ponies and only then does his real personality show. It does take awhile to get passed a first impression with Field, but once you do get to know him you find a sweet guy who overcompensates for his shyness by pretending to be confident. Under the surface, he is a nice guy that just doesn't have a ton of social skills. He has a good sense of humor, but bad timing. He can be very bright, but doesn't know how to lend his knowledge to conversation. He cares about his friends, but worries they don't care back. But, if you are a patient pony and a good listener, Field has the potential to be a very good friend. 
Likes: Sandwiches, partly cloudy days, the beach, having nothing to do/lots of free time
Dislikes: Feeling inadequate, losing, spicy food, conversations that move too fast for him to get a word in
Hobbies: Flying kites, building kites, napping, cloud watching, daydreaming

History: 
Field was always a bit of an odd kid. He liked to fly kites and he spent most of his time doing that, and not interacting a lot with other kids. He didn't have very good social skills and sometimes would get picked on. His only advocate was his older brother Reuben, who defended him against bullies and never bothered him for being weird. When they grew up, Field lived with their parents for a long time after Reuben had moved out and started his own business. Eventually his parents thought it was time for him to grow up a little, and told him it was time to move out too. Luckily for him, Reuben was still there advocating for him, and let Field move into his house. Reuben helped him to start his own business so that he could contribute to the home expenses, and eventually hopes that Field will live on his own, but isn't pushing him for now.

• He wishes he was a pegasus, so that he could do even cooler kite tricks while flying in the sky. 
• His best friend is Starbuck
• He has a crush on Summer, who is another one of his friends. Her ice cream shop is right next to his kite shop, which is how they met. 
• He lives with his brother Reuben, who owns a sandwich shop. Their house is above the sandwich shop.
